South of Bucks Winter Warmer 2020 200km ( the Xtra 100km Cancelled for this year)

The South of Bucks Winter Warmer 200km event is an X rated event with a few luxuries, that is, you and I will have a few luxuries like a warm start and finish where a good selection of refreshments will be available. All controls are at commercial outlets. Planning is now complete and the route is styled similar to the original winter warmer and will head south from Beaconsfield to Alton looping through some excellent countryside around Basingstoke before heading back to touch Oxfordshire, then returning to the Beaconsfield services. The route is generally on quiet roads normally treated in bad conditions, apart from the undulating route and good scenery all entrants will visit Pangbourne control without being rushed to get there or leave due to cafe closures, and a penultimate control which is open 24/365.
Cancelled The Xtra 100 heads south similar to the 200km on the quiet roads normally treated in bad conditions, but soon turns North into the Chilterns for an interesting picturesque route to pass Velolife cafe at Warren Row, crossing the Thames at Hambleden Weir, circling North of High Wycombe to Chipperfield before returning to Beaconsfield. Cancelled
The start and finish is at the M40 J2 service area close to Beaconsfield town, ideally situated for easy access from motorway and rail services at Beaconsfield. At the service area there is the Ibis Hotel, Wetherspoons public bar and restaurant, and numerous other facilities for those wishing rest, eat and drink well before and after the event. The service area management are most helpful and if entrants provide their vehicle registration before the start, parking will be free for the whole period and anybody resident at the Ibis Hotel will also be allotted two parking spaces for the duration of the event. The start control will be situated in the common central area surrounded by small refreshment outlets, the finish will be a postal return finish, SAE will be provided.
